My name is Sil Weel. I was born in Amsterdam in 2001 and grew up in Opperdoes, a small village in the north of North Holland. In 2025, I graduated as a Cinematographer from the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. I’ve since worked on a variety of projects — from documentary and fiction to commercial work

For me, cinematography is about exploring new perspectives and telling stories while discovering the world around us. I value working together with integrity and care, always aiming to support the story in the best possible way. I'm looking forward to contributing to thoughtful and visually engaging films.
